The Fifth U.S. Conference on Peak Oil and Community Solutions: Volunteer

The conference relies upon the generous contribution of the time and energy of many volunteers. Several volunteer jobs are available including registration, admissions, information, home-sharing, food service and recycling as well as exhibitor, presenter and organizer support.

Conference volunteers will receive a 25 percent discount on their Full Conference Pass for each 3- to 5-hour shift they work. Volunteers should pay the full amount at registration, and will be refunded at the end of the conference based upon actual shifts worked.

In addition, volunteers will receive comprehensive training prior to their first shift, a cool conference t-shirt, our deepest gratitude, and the great feeling of supporting a worthy cause.

Volunteer positions include: Registration Assistant: Assist with conference registration, accept cash and credit card payments, and provide tickets, provide information and directions. Admissions Attendant: Check passes at the door of venues, monitor admittance, and provide information to conference attendees. Food Service/Recycling Attendants: Monitor food service and recycling stations, take meal tickets, provide information. Home Sharer (Expenses Covered): Share your home with a conference presenter or attendee, and provide local transportation to the conference, if needed. Exhibitor/Sponsor Liaison: Assist in set-up and provide direction and service to sponsors and exhibitors.
